Why raise funds to produce a Guidebook?

Because the history and heritage of the oldest botanical garden in the western hemisphere deserves to be documented and shared

Established in 1765, this year (2025) marks its 260th anniversary, so help meDr Christina Welch, to help the garden celebrate its international importance, and highlight its largely lost legacy as a global plant hub in the late 18th-century

Help bring to light information about the horticultural knowledge and labour of the enslaved African workers who were crucial to the garden's success, and acknowledge the heritage of plant-use by St. Vincent's indigenous people (today known as the Garifuna and Kalinago)
